What Should I Do?

Here are some of the appropriate precautions that you can take to protect yourself and others around you during the COVID-19 outbreak:

Clean your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizers that contain at least 75% alcohol to clean your hands.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneezes
Avoid close contact with people who appears unwell with cold or flu-like symptoms
Wear a surgical mask when you are in crowded or indoor settings
Self-isolate if you started to develop symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19
Keep good respiratory hygiene. Clean and disinfect your environment daily

  • The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus

  • The virus is spread mainly between people in different ways:

    • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) and,

    • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

  • These droplets can land on the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into their lungs
